Soccer and Gaming

Last Friday was a great soccer game, we played a team we thought we would loose to, but it worked out in the end.  The final score was 2-0, we won.  That was for JV, but Varsity sadly lost 0-2.  Normally it is the other way around.

Over the weekend i managed to play Xbox for a little while with my online friends.  We played Minecraft for a sufficient amount of time, enough time that i was able to collect enough resources for a mansion, enough diamonds to build armor, all tools, and every other purpose for diamonds.  Minecraft is amazing from time to time, it is not something i am capable of playing for days on end.

The rest of the weekend apart from relaxing and watching TV, I played Miscrits.  I have gotten so many new miscrits that I have to many too level up.  As soon as i think i have gotten them all in one area, i find new ones, which is great but it also is hard because the miscrits i am leveling up end up being weaker than the ones I have just recently cost, so I switch and start leveling them up and it almost goes on an endless loop.  Oh well, at least i have a lot of over-powered miscrits without purchasing any!

Three Day Weekend

During school i have done nothing of interest, if i where to say what i did you would probably fall asleep withing the first sentence.  All i look forward too is going to soccer practice after school and then going home.  The only thing I wish could be changed is homework, some schools have none, which is nice for the students.  Work overall for a subject is just to help the learner understand what he\she is learning.  But if you learn that during class, why must you have to take up more time of your day to complete something you already understand.  Extra practice? Most likely.  Here is the thing though, we go to school for close to seven hours a day, out of those seven hours, about an hour is on each subject, so if the teacher has one hour to teach a subject, why do we have to take up extra time spending it working on a lesson we already know?  Especially during weekends and vacations, really, we should not have to do the work and not loose any points on the work because they are taking up our personal time, which is not right.  They get paid to teach us for approximately seven hours, not for the extra hours we spend.  If they are going to take up our time, why don't they pay us, because homework becomes a job, especially for people who have very busy lives.  If you do not understand something then you may ask the teacher the next day or the day it is being taught or even research it on your own time, but don't take up our time making us do work that will be graded on our own time.  For the people who have to race to finish their homework that they could not of finished any other time, and they don't do it good, they get a bad grade for something they didn't have time to do.

For those who care about Facebook games, I played one over the three day weekend the entire time.  I did not and still do not have possession of my Xbox so all i did was watch TV and play two games, Miscrits and Plummet 2.  Miscrits is a game that has similarities to Pokemon, but it is not as good, (graphic wise), but it seems more fun.  Plummet 2 is just Temple Run with completely different graphics and a different concept, rather than running in a three-dimensional, horizontal obstacle coarse, you are going in a vertical, south direction with slightly less obstacles.  But just like Temple Run, the further you progress, the harder, and faster the game goes.  Try it, you might just like it!

Believe me, it is great!

Look fun?

Happy New Year

New Year for you? It does not seem like it for me.  As soon as summer began after the 8th grade, life has seemed to blow by in a blur.  Time itself seems to fly by as if light speed has become equal to time speed.  I don't understand why, but i guess that is how it is as people grow older, we begin to see things at a faster rate.  I assume that is why some adults say, " They grow up so fast."  is that a saying because it is for adults seeing children grow at a faster rate apart from how the child can see him or herself growing.

Playing a game on a console or computer or any possible way to play a game, is so time consuming, you just get into the game zone.  Sometimes, the person does not even realize that they haven't eaten in nine hours, but yet, they don't get hunger because they are so distracted, so tuned out that they don't even notice.  I was so tuned out that it was 11:57 p.m. and of course it was new years in 3 minutes.  I did not even realize it until my mom came in and told me.  I could not believe it that it was new years eve when I was told until I thought about it.  Glad I made it to see the new year, 2014, that is crazy how fast the new year came.  It never occurred to me to come up with a resolution, it is not like I would of stuck to it though.  For those who do, congratulations, especially for the ones who fallow through.  For those who don't follow through, at least you tried, but it is good that you had the idea, and it is never too late to try again.

Christmas

For Christmas break my school got two weeks off.  The sad part comes from people who say, time fly's when you are having fun, which, in my case, is very true, especially during vacations.  When I am on my Xbox 360, at one point when i check the time, it is, say, 11 in the morning, the next time i look at it, it is one in the afternoon, even though it feels like it has only been ten minutes.  It is insane because the way we perceive time is so different from the way most living things do.  It is fascinating if you think about it.

Christmas day was a very busy day for my family and I.  First thing in the morning, we all opened presents, after that, we went to our mom's, mom's house, (she lives very close, close enough to walk) and received gifts and gave gifts there.  Then for the rest of the day we went to my mom's, dad's house and got gifts, met up with cousins, and ate a Christmas dinner.  The best thing i got apart from all the gift cards, candy, and a game tower, was Assassins Creed Black Flag.  I have already completed the campaign, and i have to say it is sad.  It is not as sad as the Halo Reach campaign, but a few deaths really did make me unhappy.  The way they died was filled with such detail I bet some people cried playing it.  It is one of those games you really do not want to stop playing until you finish it.  It is like a craving to get to the end, a hunger, a desire.
